Paramedical Tattoo

Paramedical tattooing is an advanced form of permanent makeup focussing on the restoration of the skin post-medical treatment, or the camouflaging of skin imperfections or scarring.

INKless Revision

INKless Revision, also known as MCA Needling or “dry” tattooing, is a safe, non-invasive method of tattooing that improves the tone and texture of acne scars, stretch marks, lipo/BBL/facelift/breast augmentation scars, burn scars, and injury/surgery scars.

In place of traditional ink, we use a vitamin rich serum to deposit into the skin, allowing the skin to repair itself at a faster rate. This proprietary blend of natural vitamins and oils stimulate collagen production and helps the skin regenerate on a cellular level, permanently restoring the tone and texture of scars and stretchmarks.

INKless Revision is one of the most effective, long-term solutions for improving the appearance of stretch marks and scars.

IS IT THE SAME AS MICRO-NEEDLING?
INKless tattoo is proven to be far more effective at treating scars and stretch marks than micro-needling. Similar in the way it utilizes special needle cartridges to cause controlled trauma to the skin, it is not the same as traditional micro-needling.

INK-LESS TREATMENT USES
  • different needle types
  • different speed
  • different depth
  • targets only damaged skin for repair

WHICH SKIN AILMENTS CAN BE TREATED?
  • Acne scars
  • Stretch marks
  • Lipo/BBL/facelift/breast augmentation scars
  • Surgical scars
  • Injury or trauma scars
  • Self-harm scars
  • Burns

WHO CANNOT RECEIVE THIS TREATMENT?
Anyone that is prone to Keloid scarring. This type of scar tissue creates a raised tissue growth that grows outside the boundary of the original skin injury. Not all raised scars are keloid as hypertrophic scars are raised but stay within the boundary of the original wound.

This treatment is also contraindicated for:

  • Pregnant / breastfeeding
  • Diabetics
  • Hemophilia patients
  • Anyone suffering from skin disease

HOW MANY SESSIONS WILL I NEED?
Treatment sessions will vary depending on the severity of the scarring and individual skin response. For most people, INKless tattoo can be very effective for scar smoothing and softening. Some may see significant results after 1 or 2 sessions, others may need several. Results are not guaranteed as in some cases there may not be a significant improvement. There is maximum amount of five sessions for each treatment area, with a minimum healing time of 6 weeks in between each session per treatment area.

CAMOUFLAGE TATTOO

Made popular by instagram tattoo artist Rodolpho Torres from São Paulo, Brazil, Brazilian Camouflage Tattoo is a technique of permanently concealing stretch marks, scars and other skin-related imperfections. This technique is also effective on scarring from injuries or surgery. The procedure, technique, and color blending formulas offer near-perfect results that are unmatched on the market.

This camouflage procedure differs greatly from a micro-pigmentation procedure as it is not affected by the process of cellular renewal. Our Camouflage technique takes place directly in the dermis, where the skin color is stable and does not change over time. This unique method combines precise color formulation to perfectly match many different skin complexions for a concealed and permanent solution. The pigments are not susceptible to fading or discoloration over time due to the body’s natural absorption.

AM I A CANDIDATE?
Stretch marks must be at least:
  • 12-18 months old
  • lighter in color than the surrounding skin
  • relatively flat in texture
  • each mark less than 3/8” wide

  • Scars must be:
  • at least 12-18 months old
  • without keloid

*Skin must be untanned at the time of the appointment for precise skin color matching. If skin is suntanned or spray tanned at the time of the procedure, color may be mismatched and the treated scar will appear darker than the surrounding skin.

DURING THE APPOINTMENT
Skin tone will be assessed and color matched by the paramedical tattooer. Please understand that the color matching process may take some time as it accounts for the first half of the appointment. Wear comfortable, loose clothing and feel free to bring something to do while laying down on the adjustable bed. The treatment room is completely private with a thermostat to help you feel most comfortable. Feel free to bring a pillow.

The length of time for the visit depends on the size of the area to be treated. On average, a small area takes around 1 hour while a large area may take up to 3 hours.

All treatments include a 6 week follow-up appointment. An aftercare kit with instructions will be provided after the procedure.

WHAT TO EXPECT AFTER TREATMENT
After 30-60 days of the initial treatment, you should see a reliable indication of the result. During and after the procedure, tattooed areas will be red, raised, and may feel sunburnt. This is normal and to be expected. Minor itchiness is a common symptom during the healing process. DO NOT SCRATCH as it can create pigment loss and unexpected healed results. For itching relief, ointment can be applied to the treated area.

The results are permanent as long as proper aftercare is followed.

CONTRAINDICATIONS
This procedure is NOT advised for any of the following:

  • Scars or stretch marks less than 12 months old
  • Pregnant or nursing
  • Prone to Keloid scarring
  • Use of Accutane in the past 6 months
  • Currently undergoing chemotherapy or radiation (consult your doctor)
  • Currently sick or compromised immune symptoms
  • If you suffer from post-inflammatory hyperpigmentation*

(*If you regularly develop post-inflammatory hyperpigmentation after any skin injury or trauma, it is not advisable to treat with tattoo camouflage. Since tattooing is a form of micro-injury, this treatment could trigger further hyperpigmentation. A patch test would need to be performed if you have this condition.)

3D NIPPLE & AREOLA

The purpose of this procedure is to restore and recreate the natural appearance of the breast. Permanent pigments are tattooed onto the breast to visually restore the appearance of the nipple, areola, or both. This procedure is most common for patients with breast cancer, breast surgery, or other trauma.

3D nipple & areola tattoo is a procedure designed to restore and recreate the natural appearance of the breast. Permanent pigments are tattooed onto the breast to visually restore the appearance of the nipple, areola, or both. This procedure is most common for patients with breast cancer, breast surgery, or other trauma.

For unilateral cases, the existing areola can be closely matched in regards to the shape, size, and color. For bilateral, the nipple and/or areola can be created based off of a pre-surgery image if desired.

The consultation price will be deducted from the final cost of the treatment plan. A six week follow-up appointment is included with the initial procedure.

Typically this procedure can be performed approximately 4-6 months after reconstruction surgery, or with a doctor’s approval for timeline. For breast lift scars, allow 12 months after the most recent surgery.

WHAT CAN YOU EXPECT FROM THE PROCEDURE?
Advanced tattooing techniques are used to replicate texture, dimension, and illusion of nipple protrusion to an otherwise, flat skin surface. For unilateral cases, the existing areola can be closely matched in regards to the shape, size, and color. For bilateral, the nipple and/or areola can be created based off of a pre-surgery image if desired.

The 3D nipple tattoo is a work of art. Complex color application and shading, as well as other skin art techniques, allow for the tattoo to have the appearance of a real nipple, and helps patients feel confident in their breasts once again. Typically this procedure can be performed approximately 4-6 months after reconstruction surgery, or with a doctor’s approval for timeline. For breast lift scars, allow 12 months after the most recent surgery.

DURING THE PROCEDURE
Consultations can be scheduled at the time of procedure, but can be scheduled separately if needed. We will review some of your history and discuss your desired outcome to determine how to achieve the best color, size, and placement. Feel free to share any preferences or images for your intended results. The treatment plan for desired outcome will depend on scar placement and thickness of scar tissue. For clients who require only one 3D areola/nipple tattoo, the tattoo will be designed to match the existing nipple and restore symmetry.

After color assessment and treatment plan are determined, the treatment area will be wiped down with rubbing alcohol for measurement and mapping. A topical anesthetic will be used after the tattooing session begins. The process is generally not painful but topical numbing is available to help eliminate any discomfort. The entire procedure may take 1-3 hours from beginning to end, depending on your specific treatment. Timing is approximately 30 minutes per nipple/areola.

All appointments include a 6 week follow-up appointment. An aftercare kit with instructions will be provided at the appointment.

AFTERCARE AND THE HEALING PROCESS
  • Tattoo results are mostly complete after the first session. Proper aftercare must be followed for optimal healed results. Any areas that may need adjusting can be attended during the touch-up appointment. Pigment results may appear darker than anticipated during the 10 days after the procedure. After two weeks, the tattoo will soften in color.
